Custom PVR PC
I've been thinking for a while about building a PC to take over control of my home entertainment. I've been looking for a DVD Recorder with HDD and a Digital TV Tuner and it seems the only way to get one is to build one yourself. Above is a really rough concept of the specs of the machine I would like to build. The main problem is that it looks like it will cost just under a grand to build!
The idea is that the machine would fit sit under the TV and give access to digital tv, archived tv, DivX files, photos, mp3 and would link up with the rest of my home network. I want to be able to record TV to the HDD then archive it out to DVD.
Just a dream at the moment but I'm fairly sure that this kind of thing is the future.
If anyone fanices one - I'll build it for £849!

Ooh, very nice specs. I've come to the conclusion too that it makes more sense to have a PC instead of TV, DVD player etc. Question though - what's that case? It's supershiny...
